The documentary "Between warp and weft" jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the Keqiao District Committee of the Communist Party of China, Shaoxing Keqiao District Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., Shaoxing Keqiao District Integrated Media Center, and Hangzhou Jiaping Film Co., Ltd. will be broadcasted on CCTV Documentary Channel 2 tomorrow at 9 o'clock. The film is produced by Wu Jiaping and directed by Fan Zhizhong.


2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the naming of China Textile City. The Keqiao District Committee and Government have planned to shoot a special documentary titled "Between the Meridian and Latitude", which comprehensively and profoundly showcases the vicissitudes and changes that China Textile City has brought to this city and textile people from all over the country and even around the world from the perspective of ordinary people. It explores the power behind the economic miracle that has emerged in China in the past 30 years, as well as the future state in which it will lead to a new journey towards high-quality development.

The documentary is named "Between the warp and weft", which symbolizes the textile industry of Keqiao, a city known as a city supported by a piece of fabric. It is intertwined with warp and weft, and symbolizes that millions of textile city residents have been weaving the Chinese dream of living and working in peace, going global, and pursuing beauty.


The film is centered around character stories, with a collection of unit drama structures, focusing on typical characters and events. It adheres to a dramatic and youthful narrative style, and adopts a combination of documentary tracking and freehand representation, telling grand themes through the mouths of small characters. A strand by strand, intertwined with ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad; Every stitch and thread is related to the national economy and people's livelihood. The team has interviewed nearly 200 people and tracked the filming of live characters and story materials for over 500 hours in a large number of vivid cases. Finally, they were finely edited into a 2-episode 4K film production version.


The first episode will be broadcasted on CCTV Channel 2 at 9:00 am on February 18th
